Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

Section 54 of The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires commercial organisations operating in the UK with an annual turnover of £36 million or more to publish an annual statement setting out the steps taken to prevent modern slavery in their business and their supply chains.

This statement is made by Professionals At Play Ltd in relation to all companies within the Professionals At Play Ltd Group including Roxy Leisure Ltd and Pins Leisure Ltd.

Organisation structure and supply chains

Professionals At Play Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales which currently operates 24 competitive socialising venues through its main trading subsidiaries, Roxy Leisure Ltd and Pins Leisure Ltd. These venues operate under the Roxy Ball Room, Roxy Lanes, King Pins and Star Pins brands.

The majority of our suppliers are based in the UK and provide services and products to facilitate both the fit out and ongoing operation of our venues.

Policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or any part of our business and we operate a zero-tolerance policy in this regard.

We have a modern slavery policy to ensure employees are aware of our responsibilities, and of those working for and on our behalf, in observing and upholding our position on modern slavery and human trafficking and to provide information to those working for and on our behalf on how to identify and report any concerns.

We also have a whistle-blowing policy and grievance procedure to enable our employees to report any issues which they may encounter at work.

Due diligence processes

The vast majority of our team of over 600 employees are employed directly and are subject to pre-employment checks to confirm their identity and right to work.

We continue to undertake an appropriate level of due diligence on our suppliers. We will continue to work with our suppliers to commit to, and comply with, all applicable laws and regulations along with our policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking.

Risk assessment and management

Due to the nature of our business and the suppliers we work with, we consider the risk of slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain to be low. We will continue to assess this risk on at least an annual basis and specifically respond to any areas in which we consider there to be a heightened risk.

Measuring effectiveness

We will be asking all suppliers to confirm that they do not allow slavery or human trafficking within their business or supply chains. We will also monitor any instances of non-compliance with our internal procedures as well as the number and frequency of any issues raised in relation to this by our team, including via our whistle-blowing policy or grievance procedure.

Training on modern slavery and trafficking

We have recently issued updated policies to all employees which includes our Modern Slavery policy. We also ensure our senior employees involved in recruitment and our supply chain are aware of their responsibilities to prevent and detect modern slavery in any part of our business.

We will review this statement at least annually and communicate it to all staff. We will also review it following any changes in legislation.

This statement was approved by Professionals At Play Ltd’s board of directors on 22nd May 2025.
